Bologna Airport

Bologna airport (Marconi) has free Wi-Fi, and so does the railway station (Bologna Centrale).

You go out the airport, there are a few ways:

  • “Marconi Express” small train. Ok if you have luggage, and it takes 7 min to central station! But also 12€ for 7 mins?
  • Normal Bus: You have to walk 10 minutes. Number 81 or 91, from “Birra” neighborhood to “Bologna Centrale”, put it on Google Maps, and follow the directions. Normal bus cost is 1.50€.
  • Normal Train: Also walk 15 min. From “Bologna Borgo Panigale” to “Bologna Centrale”, by foot it’s not well connected to the airport, I don’t suggest it.

For normal bus you can buy the tickets (around 1,50€):

  • on the bus, not in cash, but tapping contactless credit card on the validating machine.
  • in the “Roger App”, (requires SMS for registration) then validating either taking a picture of the validating machine in the bus (lol) or using NFC of the phone tapping on the machine
  • in the small shops called “Tabaccheria” where they sell phisical bus tickets.

If you wanna eat, snack or water for cheap in the airport and in the station there is Carrefour.

If you have any correction/suggestion, I’m happy if you contact me.
