Venice
- san Marco Basilica and piazza (I think you can go up in the bell tower for a few euros)
- chiesa san Zaccaria
- ponte rialto
- ponte delle guglie
- ponte chiodo (small but cute)
- libreria acqua alta (library)
- you can book a free visit on the terrace of “fodazione dei Tedeschi” for the view. (Booking from 21 days before)
- going to “gondola” should cost 80€, but there are some ones for transport from one side to the other 30 seconds (2€)
- there is a nice sunset point in “Serena Sunset Spot”
Tip: in “Venchi” chocolaterie they often give free chocolate to people entering their shop
Eating nice and cheap, look for a “bacaro”, a place where to snack something and drink.
Tip: if you are with car the best solution is “Park Costa”, cheaper than others and with a direct bus outside you are on the island.
Tip: Venice is really filled with turists by day, but the best real vibes of Venice are in the evening/night. The island gets empty and you can walk around narrow streets with dimmed lights and water on the side, going up and down the bridges listening to the sound of squeking boats, taking amazing pictures. Really suggested to have a walk around by night.
